Mixomatosis was born around 1990/91 formed by J.Ramón (guitarra), Lozano (bass), Iván Vasco (bass), Mirko (drums), Joseba (guitars) and Ramón (singer), with this line-up, the band stasrted to play shows without considering the band seriously until two year after when the band was well bassed..

Those years band’s line up was Dani “Pirri” (drums), José Ramón (guitars), Iván (bass), Jordi Lozano (distortion bass) and Marc Cabildo (singer). Theirr music stile was grind with lots of differents influences such as HC, death or gore. With the new line up, Mixomatosis have shared stage with bands such as: Mysthical, Frank Psykiatra, Dikordia, Urbat Bitki, Gore’s Romance, Audiorrea, Beer Mosh... getting a good either in their shows and recordings.

During February ’94 the band recorded their first demo called “Hacia la destrucción” published by theirselves on 1995 to 1997 Mixomatosis released a live tape shared with Mastic Scum from Austria through Carpet Tapes, a split tape with Dilema from Tarragona (Spain) released via the spanish label Noise Fight records. They also recorded s live tape called “Live in La Penúltima” released through Antiproducciones. A part from that, Mixomatosis have recorded two live videos “Live Selva del Camp 94” and “Live San Salvador 94”.

The band toke the periode between 1996 and 1997 to reat from their musical activities to return on early 1998 with a new line up: Marc Cabildo (singer), José Bonillo (ex-Gore’s Romance/ bass), Iván Vasco (drums), Jordi Lozano (guitars).

From this moment onward the band focused their style to a more extreme type (Grind, gore, noise) complaining most of our circumstancies such as wars, catastrophes, childhood exceeds, animal freedom,... Their new material came out on 1999 when they released a reedition of the band’s first demo “Hacia la destrucción” with some bonus tracks included by Mangled Magot Stew Records from Holland who recorded during that year new songs included in a split CDR shared with Tumour and Madeliefjes published in eaarly 2000 Fudgworthy records from USA published their 7”Ep with Neuropatia at the same tiam while the band started appearing in various national and international compilations and released their new live video “El regreso de la putrefacción 99”.

During 2000 the band change one of their musicians to introduce Armando Bejerano (ex –Audiorrea) in the place of the drummer Iván Vasco.

Mixomatosis publish their first oficial Cd (digipack format) through Voliac Rock Produccions and Quirófano Productions.

December of 2001 we recorded our new stuff for a new split Mcd with Tu Carne, put out by Hecatombe records.
In 2003 we put our brand new Cd called “Recuento de cadáveres” out through American Line Prod.
In November of 2004 Richy, our drummer, leaves the band but he is replaced by Torment as a new Mixomatosis’ member.
