NEMESIS AETERNA was born from the misery in the depths of the mountain Montseny (Catalonia) the winter of MCMXCVIII... as a project of deep in melodies Dark Death Metal, created by Regius (vocals) and Gargoyle (guitar), formers FAT GOLEM, Elessar (drums) and "The Nail" (guitar), musicians of LOVESTRESS, and Justice (bass). With their first demo, two tracks recorded in May of MCMXCIX, they started their first underground gigs. In November Búfal entered their line-up as the new bass player, and everything was ready to record their first CD "In Misery Born", which was finished in May of MM.
In the summertime fall, "The Nail" left out NEMESIS AETERNA, but the band strengthened on its four present members. After some more gigs with national bands (with LIGHTNING in Zaragoza and Barcelona, with EMPTY and NOCTURN in Girona and with ECZEMA and IMPACRO FECAL in Madrid) and after ruling out the chance to include a new guitarist, its first work can be got from the beginning of the year MMI. One song, the one called "Nemesis", appears a few months later on the "Bloody Compilation II".
In september of the year MMI the band entered the studio again to record "...And the Trip Begins", two new compositions that will be used as promotional material and self-released as a Split MCD with the also Catalonian band JIGSORE, under the name of "Simètric". Voliac Records together with Calabozo Records will release that two songs in a 7" vinyl. Later the band played in Barcelona with VADER, CRYPTOPSY and DYING FETUS, and after that they stop playing on stage to work on the songs that will form his following long play recording.
During the year MMII they shared the stage with some great bands as PUNGENT STENCH, ROTTENNESS from Mexico, the Brazilian IMPERIOUS MALEVOLENCE, with EXTERMINATOR from Belgium or with the Portuguese bands GOLDENPYRE and SACRED SIN, moreover with many Spanish bands like NUMEN or BAALPHEGOR, and they also joined the 5th -Steel Warrior's Rebellion- happened in Portugal. It has also appeared some songs from "...And the Trip Begins" on three more compilations (Atlantida Comp. Vol. 12, Nightwalk Magazine and Vampiria 'zine), and it is planned a little tour in Portugal with PRIMORDIAL on X-Mass.
...and in a trail of frozen light, NEMESIS AETERNA will go on proclaiming impiety to darken the New Millennium.
